The crime branch officer looked upon us and said
"There is an order given to us and we must fulfil it"- placing the files on the table and pointing at Vareos' chalk marks -
Any volunteers? he asked. I went forward and smiled at him
-"What happened to the riches that he owned ?"
paused for a minute and waited for him to answer, no response was to be seen so I continued,
-"Auctioned or the government ha-have it ?"
he replied as he breathes out heavily -
''None', the money is not moving anywhere and we haven't figured out a way with his money without dealing legal problems',
grabbing my pale white shirt collar he pushed me back, and screamed the hell out of his voice '-and you are here for investigation and not for your stupid stock stuff' I smiled at him, moved my arm through my left shoulder wiping the hold off and politely answered him 'I am his friend and I want to help secure his money and there is no one here who can do it better than me' and I leaned forward on him and pressed him as much as I can, till he backs off and continued 'I will help it to reach his family and they may have it as his final reward, walked to a window in the room I continued
-'and Kan will clear the legal procedures' in an elite manner. As Kan watched everything he noded.
We were forced to play the cat and mouse game for a while as all disputes settle with the cop and other three tie guys in the room. 'I have a plan to move his enormous money without any problem, the trick that was taught me by the dead man himself, some stocks stay stale they don't rise or fall, due to this stagnancy we can move the money to those stock and then purchase it with the same amount and this, this will move his entire money and make it legal to do so.'
-'And what about the killing, any idea who did this or what happened', Thios burst-in and interrupted us in the middle. And everyone looked up to the main officer as he handed Thios a letter signed Confidential in it. As he opened the letter I snatched it from him and read it aloud:
I enjoyed every moment of his suffering, do you wish I continue, no I won't and this will be a one time job and I will relive the memory and that will give the pleasure for eternity, but beware Mr.Actor bad times comes to all and for you its not too away, not me, certainly not me but someone will end you and your doings in the past months, erase you out of existence.
-
"The problem is, we have too many people who fit the 'Mr. Actor' threat that the killer has provided." the officer moved towards Thios
"I- I do know you have disputes with everyone you work with, so we have assumed that it is you, you are the one who is in prime danger and the one who is quoted Mr.Actor as you played supporting him."
Kan stared at me for a long time and walked away and I moved back to the window, many things that I and Vareos discussed stood with me.
-'He trusted no men and people besides him, always played safe and played a step further than anyone, can't really see the one who did this, and do you know anything about the letter lawyer?' I asked Kan.
He saw the letter in my hand and looked away immediately as I noticed him do that, he said he never knew anyone who exists to kill him and he continued stating his long problems with alcoholism and wandering minds that Vareos suffered from.
'Sure he trusted no one, except us' he said.
-'Yes except us and this brings the problem being neither you nor me.' I replied staring on him.
He quickly came up to me and whispered in my ears 'I never asked you to write a letter? and you are the reason, this case is this messed up'
I turned away from the officers and whispered back to him
'realism is expected in here, and I am not that good at doing it, com 'on this is the first time and me, am certainly not an expert at first-hand torturing to death stuff...jeez.And I hoped this letter stuff distracts them.'
The officer grunted on us and as Kan shouted without turning back on the officers 'discussing on who the possible suspect is sir...give us a minute.'
He whispered back to me 'Good thing they got him as the prime suspect, not you...move the money as fast as possible before these guys sniff on us.'
I smiled 'you will make a huge profit in acting, it's within you unlike me'. He pushed me aside in anger and reported to the cops of three random guys who could have done the murder.
